Demo Class : Part 3

Demo class…
Part 3 out of 4

Second Candidate’s Assessment By Me

Okay, he was certainly not someone I had expected to see!

He came straight from ‘Dexter’s Laboratory’!

Clad in white shirt and black pants, he wore specs. I don’t know why, I always find people who wear spectacles, to be very knowledgeable. *ducks from the objects thrown by people who don’t wear specs*

The first thing that came into my mind was, ‘Kaun hai yeh…kaun hai yeh’ and I started singing it slowly and softly. But then, my dear brother Anurag had to have a problem! He told me to keep my mouth shut before Kumkum [yeah, kumkum se kumkum se] ma’am heard us. *hhmpphh*

Okay, let’s get this clear. I abhor when someone asks me to shut up! Because seriously, there is hardly a time when I actually verbally speak out my side comments *rolls eyes* and when I do, I actually am very excited. So, shutting up isn’t an option.

When he started speaking, he was stuttering. *shocked *Awww :) I love when teacher’s stutter. This is some kind of an evil thingy. You know how? Well, one reason. They always made me stutter when I had to answer something.

Yeah, my school life was full of crap. Literally! I never spoke anything. And knowing me, you can only imagine how much difficult it must be for me! *remembers those school days and her shy nature and then shudders*

I looked longingly at Shambhavi, who made it quite clear that she won’t talk to me. I started poking her and irritating her *evil smile* and making her laugh *genuine smile*. Well, is it my fault that my side comments always come at wrong time? *sighs*

When I saw that there was no option for me, I took out a diary from my bag without even looking back. Yeah, I am as secretive as that! *laughs* And my Di had made my habit of not looking down while typing. Yeah, I always look like a sincere-attention-paying-nerd while all the while; I am on my mobile, chatting away with Di. *sheepish muh*

But this time, I had no intention of messaging either of them. They both are useless when it comes to managing the hyper-me. Well, Di’s replies made me roll with laughter which I couldn’t afford to do and I was tired with the mono-syllability of his answers. *hmmph*

So, I started making…rather bigadofy the songs. Yeah, I am as cool as that. So, before wasting anytime, I am going to list all the songs in italic which I spoiled. *laughs*

‘Itni shakti hamein dena daata…aankhein hamari khuli reh jayein.’ *trying to keep her eyes open*

‘Mann mera…bhaaga kahin aur hi jaaye.’ *irritated with his boring talks*

‘Behkar hai mann kahin….kahan jaati nahi.’ *sings in full tone*

While I was jotting songs in my diary, Kumkum ma’am spoke up, “Children, is anyone making notes of the dates he is giving?” I mentally thought that his own GF would be bored with him on his date, so why should we be interested. *laughs* Okay, bad joke.

Now I was scared that I was writing down something. Maybe she saw me writing something. Okay, I am extremely scared. What if she wants to see my diary? I toh was passing running commentary! I-AM-SO-DEAD! *scared and horrified*

What if she catches me and read all my diary’s contents? And she does *horrified* she would surely give me punishment. What if she rusticates me from college? What if, she puts me in a pan and eats me up? By the looks of it, she does looks like she can eat me up. *suspicious* Nahiiiiiiii….

*I looked above and prayed* Hey bhagwaan! Plz-plz-plz mujhe bacha lo…I sware agar aapne mujhe is baar bacha liya…toh…toh main chup rehene ki koshish karoongi. Okay, deal? Please huh…is baar bacha lijiye….I sware aaj poore din aur kuch nahi maangoogi. Plz?

I quickly hid my copy when she said, “Children, you should make a habit of jotting down the notes given during the lecture. No one is going to dictate them to you….” Blah blah blah! I just heard that we were supposed to write and quickly kept my copy on the desk. Ab maza aayega *rubs hands*

Oh and yeah! Thank you Bhagwaan ji! Aaj aapne phir humein bacha liya…aap great ho. *genuine smile* I started writing down the songs freely. Who cared about his notes? He was not yet selected to be my teacher!

‘Aankhein khuli ho ya ho band…samajh mein kuch nahi aata hai.’ *trying to keep her eyes open*

‘Humko mann ki shakti dena…aankh khuli rahein…inki demo class mein bhi…hum jage rahein.’ *singing tone*

I was busy making up songs and smiling to myself, when our dear beloved Kumkum ma’am spoke up again. She said, “Children pay attention.” I looked up to see who she was talking about, when I saw her gazing at back-benchers. Oohhh….koi phasa. *rubs hands in an evil manner*

I quickly took out my mobile…my sweet sa mobile *adoring eyes for my mobile* and typed up ‘Bechaare back benchers :D’ and I sent it to him. He quickly replied as, “Back benchers are enjoying.” *hmmmhppphh* I was certainly NOT enjoying! Kahan phas gai main? *desperate to move out of the class*

And then the rest of the class moved away. I mean, he was surely blabbering something but, was I listening? NO. So did it matter? NO. *smiles* I was busy creating some beautiful songs by my power of imagination and creativity, when I heard that sir was going away.

*whistles* Okay, in reality I don’t know how to whistle. I tried, but failed *sad muh* Okay, *excited muh* I am so happy that he was going away. He had to. Kumkum ma’am inki bhi bezzati kar deti warna…lol.

But then, he had to ask a question! Harsh Sir got up and asked a lamba chauda question. I was trying to hear his question, I really did…but it was tooooooooooo long for me to grasp. *what-is-my-fault-in-this look*

And then the candidate started answering it. HECK! It was B-O-R-I-N-G! I felt so bored. I couldn’t pretend to write when I obviously had to play the role of an attention paying student. I know I know. I am good. *giggles*

After the candidates successful exit, I quickly typed up, ‘Aapko kya mil gaya inse itna kuch poochkar?’ and sent it to him. His answer was a quick one asking if I enjoyed the class. I silently muttered to myself, ‘Pooch toh aise rahe hain jaise ki khud bahut maza aa rahi hai….agar aa bhi rahi ho toh kya? Main toh free ka phans gai.’

I quickly wrote, ‘Yeah yeah…itna ki aap soch bhi nahi sakte hain.’ *rolls eyes* Seriously, this had to be the worst time in my life! *dramatically* No! I am serious *rolls eyes*

Okay, I was once again happy for his exit….2 gone…1 more to go. Who cares? I am going to handle him fine! *evil smirk* And if I didn’t, Kumkum ma’am would surely give him/her a run for his/her life. *cool smile*

Demo Class : Part 2

Demo class…
Part 2 out of 4

Previous Part : Demo Class : Intro

First Candidate’s Assessment By Me

R U KIDDING ME?

What the hell was she wearing? I mean, even I have this much sense. Although, my clothes are chosen by my mother, I still know what goes with what! God! She was wearing a sleeveless black-white kurti on blue jeans along with a stole. Her hair was small and she looked crap. *reprimands herself for commenting on someone’s look but then laughs*

I felt guilty of commenting on her. *her conscious sinks* I literally did. I decided that I would listen to whatever she has to say, with full on concentration. *sits properly* *back straight* *focused look on black…err…white board*

And then…..she started talking.

Okay, *red by laughing* I officially gave her a name. Miss Banbankar. I mean, it was like she was talking in French. You don’t believe me? *hhmmmppphhh* Well, then pronounce ‘communication’ like…’kaum-u-nication’. And not only this, SO many words were mis-pronounced.

I looked longingly at Shambhavi to share my comments with, but she had a serious look on her face saying ‘keep-your-mouth-shut-Mahak’. *pouts* I kept my mouth shut. But that didn’t stop me from keeping my hands in place. Lol. *wicked*

I opened my mobile and typed up a message.

‘And here begins our demo class *puts fingers in her ears*’

And I sent it to my friend who is also my senior and my Di. God! Only I can rely on two of them to entertain me during this stupid class. God please-please-please! Help me. And make sure that these two are available. *joins her hands and prays* *making her most innocent expression to pacify God above*

Okay, and here I received one message. See, I told you, God is great. *smiles*

I opened the first one to see his message saying ‘Good luck for demo class’ and I felt like throwing a fit. Not fair! Even some of my seniors were here to bear the torture! *looks above to complain for not being fair* Why wasn’t he there to bear the torture? *wonders* If he had been there, then he would have understood what good luck meant!

I again typed up a message and sent it to him and Di. Although Di didn’t reply the first time, she loves my running commentary, so I can’t devoid her of that. *tsk tsk* See, I am this sympathetic and loving *rolls eyes*

I wrote: ‘Pehli waali bahut ban-bankar bol rahi hai…u know, like TECHNICAL spelled like it’s in French.’

Di commented nothing while his message was something like he is stuck with Dean. Lucky him! I would almost do ANYTHING to get out of this boring class. Even if it meant participating in any program, cause trust me, it’s the hardest thing for me to do.

Yeah, I am homo-sapiens-phobic. Okay, I made this term up. *smiles shyly* This means that I am terribly…irrevocably afraid of people watching me. I know my comments show me otherwise, but I am very shy. I feel like their eyes are doing some black magic on me…and the voice gets stuck in my throat. This reminds me, not to ever participate in anything ever.

*back to the topic* See, not my fault. My thoughts travel idhar-udhar. I am restless when idle. Isiliye I have a huge pile of novels to give me company. *looks longingly at the books*

I saw him enter the class and thought ‘ab yeh bhi phas gaye’. Good. Why should I bear the torture alone? Everyone should be getting tortured the way I am. *evil smirk* I am as evil as that.

I typed ‘Itni shakti hamein dena daata…inko sehen hum kar paaye.’ And sent it to both of them. Okay, I am indeed funny with songs. I accept this honor bestowed upon me by others *shows the various certificates and trophies for this matter*

His reply was a single ‘hehe’ and finally my Di replied! She said, ‘Kya hua Princess? Someone is feeling too sleepy in the classes.' I love when she calls me that. *sigh* She calls me a Princess and I call her Di. *smiles*

Finally I had someone to share things with. I typed up, ‘I never knew ‘communication’ can be spoken like this. She is the extreme case of Miss Ban-bankar bolna.’ And sent it to them. She replied, ‘tension mat le. Thodi der mein khatam ho jaayega.’ No fun!

I messaged him about her writing saying, ‘writing dekhi hai?’ He replied saying that she should be a doctor. And then I couldn’t disagree anything less. She couldn’t be a doctor. I replied saying, ‘Nah…she’s so artificial’. And then nothing. I was getting terribly bored with late replies.

He said that he was happy that he came late. And I replied saying, ‘Yeah, you are lucky. Hum toh faltu phans gaye inke ‘communication’ mein’ Well, it’s not my fault that I was incredibly jealous that I couldn’t escape and my partner was a bore! *pouts*

And then suddenly, the winds took another route. Our KumKum ma’am started asking her some questions. *interesting* Okay, I am sure I am sugar-high again. Yeah, when I eat something sweet, excess amount of energy comes in my body and I become over-active. Hyper-active being the keyword. How can I ever think questions to be interesting?

Before I could lose my mind completely, I typed up ‘Aur yeh bola hamari kumkum ma’am na. Aur yeh gai pehli candidate.’ And sent it to both of them. Although I knew that only he could understand that. Throughout the bak-bak and chapar-chapar of mine, time flew by. Kumkum ma’am ne unki bazzati kar di and she had to go away. *mentally claps at her departure*

I was soooooo happy. But I had forgotten that two more were left to go. *deflated*

Demo Class : Intro

Demo class…
Part 1 out of 4

Okay, I don’t know what the use of demo class is. I mean, why the heck do we need to listen to someone trying to prove themselves, while we sit? Well, but what can we do? We are poor children who have to bear the torture of the teacher even if we don’t want. *shakes head* sigh*

Well, I almost made my mind to sneak away from the class in ninja-style, but then, I couldn’t, for two reasons. First, I didn’t wore the sleek black dress *looks longingly for it* *sighs* and second, I didn’t want to spoil my blue kurti. I so love this dress. *looks at the x-dress again*

To be honest, I have no idea why I am writing this thing up, but then maybe I am doing this for myself. Okay, so here it began.

I was sitting with my partner Shambhavi, who is actually a good listener. I just hate when she doesn’t listens to my comments. Like today. Ek toh itni boring class, upar se partner not listening, sucks! Yeah, I know. Poor me! *disappointed sighs*

Okay, our head-teacher Kumkum ma’am told us that there would be three candidates. *nooooo* *poor me* *sympathy for herself* *pats herself to console herself* Well, ek secret bataon? Whenever I hear her name Kumkum…I recall Ekta Kapoor’s show named ‘Kumkum’. And the casting tune of it comes into my mind…’banta hai ek duje se paar…kumkum se kumkum se’.

Hehehe…I know. Weird. And you know what? She is a fat. But smart. And yet, very scary. Besides in ‘Kumkum’, her husband used to very smart. Hussain…*sigh* And I toh don’t even know her husband, not that I care.

Acha, let’s get back to the topic. I saw the excitement in my class. Are you kidding me? What’s there to be excited about? Besides, I commented on everything. And times like these, when there are restrictions, my inner voice and humor comes out to explore. *yeah yeah* *rolls eyes* *tries to see if there is a hold in the ground in which I can hide myself*

Especially, when people tell me NOT to talk, then toh…I HAVE to talk…and that too non-stop. Hehe. I know. I am weird. But then, it’s not my fault that my inner voice becomes too strong for me to handle. *disappointedly sighs for herself*

Don’t mind, I am a very serious kind of student, but I hate restrictions. Bachpan se, I got everything I ever wanted, so I am quite pampered. I don’t like boundaries. I make them. But yeah, I don’t do anything which I know that my parents would not like. They are my world, so I don’t prefer to make them upset. *looks above and sees a disastrous turn from comedy to seriousness* *mentally slaps herself* *prepares to re-launch on the land of comedy*

Anyways, aaj maine Shambhavi ko ‘mean’ by Taylor Swift suna sunakar pareshaan kar diya. I only recalled three-four lines and I irritated her like anything. Well, that’s was the whole point of it. After all, I just LOVE irritating her. She is too cute.

So here entered our first candidate.

College Diaries: 31st August, 2011

31st August, 2011

With loads of dreams and apprehensions, I forced myself to sleep. Tomorrow was the big day. It was a day when I would finally keep one step forward to my dreams.

Really, it all seems like a dream itself. Who knew that I would listen to my heart and do something I really like. Writing is my biggest passion. No, it’s my obsession.

Well, tomorrow, I would be able to take one step ahead. Just another three years. God! I just can’t wait for my college to begin with.

But, what about my seniors? I mean, would they be nice or…. Okay… I just don’t want to go into that point. Heck! I am nervous. What if they, you know, ask me to do something I am incapable of?

Well, the only thing I am incapable of is to answer confidently. No! I have to change. I won’t be shy and an introvert ever. Not again. Wasn’t wasting my school life enough? I am going to enjoy my college. Do everything I am capable of.

I am not going to hide in my shell. No! Not at all. I mean, why should I?

I have been suffering in my school days. It sucked when I knew all those answers all along, yet couldn’t find it in me to answer. It sucked when I had to give my notes to my friends and be accused of cheating.

It sucked when I wrote those debate speeches for my friends and saw them getting certificates for it. It completely sucked when I had the capability to debate on everything, on the spot, yet I never spoke up.

In short, my entire life sucked. I have built such a shell around me that I hardly ever come out of that shell. I always keep things to myself, never talk, never argue, listen to everyone without complain, never bothered to fight back for myself.

In short, I lacked a backbone. Yeah-yeah, say what you think, but I was like that. And no, I am not like that anymore. I have to start living. Otherwise, I would suffer. Besides, college is the only way I am going to improve my skills and show it to everyone that…I am someone.

So, with loads and loads of questions, answers, puzzles, determination, nervousness and anxiety, I forced myself to sleep....waiting for yet another dream to engulf me.
